CHRIST IS ALIVE - PART I

CHRIST HAS RISEN, HE IS ALIVE

"HE IS RISEN"

Luke 24:6

He   is   not   here,  but  is  risen: remember how  he  spake unto you when  he  was yet in Galilee,  7  Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.  8  And they remembered his words,  9  And returned from the sepulchre, and told all these things unto the eleven, and to all the rest. 10   It was Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary [the mother] of James, and other [women that were] with them, which told these things unto the apostles.  11  And their words seemed to them as idle tales, and they believed them  not .  12  Then arose Peter, and ran unto the sepulchre; and stooping down,  he  beheld the linen clothes laid by themselves, and departed, wondering in himself at that which was come to pass.

JESUS IS ALIVE AND WELL!

WHY DO PEOPLE ACT AS IF CHRIST IS STILL DEAD?

Luke 24:13  And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem [about] threescore furlongs.  14  And they talked together of all these things which had happened.  15  And it came to pass, that, while they communed [together] and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.  16  But their eyes were holden that they should  not  know him.  17  And  he  said unto them, What manner of communications [are] these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad

Luke 24:18  And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast  not  known the things which are come to pass there in these days?  19  And  he  said unto them, What things?

THE REASONS ARE DOUBT AND UNBELIEF!

WHICH IS CAUSED BY FEAR AND NOT KNOWING, NOR UNDERSTANDING

THE CIRCUMSTANCE(S)

Matthew 14:22  And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away.  23  And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.  24  But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary.  25  And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.  26  And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.  27  But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.  28  And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.  29  And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.  30  But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. {boisterous: or, strong}

PETER LEARNED TO WALK ON WATER, BECAUSE HE PLACED “HIS FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST.” BECAUSE PETER KEPT HIS MIND, EYES AND HIS FAITH ON JESUS CHRIST AND OFF OF THE SURROUNDING ENVIRONMENT AND DID NOT, ALLOW THE SURROUNDING ENVIRONMENT (CIRCUMSTANCES), TO SIDETRACK, INTERRUPT OR KEEP HIM FROM BELIEVING, CHRIST GRANTED HIS REQUEST. FURTHER, CHRIST WILL GRANT YOUR REQUEST ALSO, PROVIDED YOU PLACE YOUR FAITH IN HIM AND NOT ALLOW THE CIRCUMSTANCES OR THE SURROUNDING ENVIRONMENT (things or people), TO CAUSE YOU TO BE SIDETRACKED.

(Philippians 4:19, 1st John 5:14 14  And this is the  confidence  that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: {in: or, concerning}  15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.)

PETER DID DOUBT, BECAUSE HE TOOK HIS EYES OFF OF JESUS AND SAW THE CIRCUMSTANCE INSTEAD OF KEEPING HIS MIND ON CHRIST! HOWEVER, HE RECOVERED AND WALKED ON WATER THE SECOND TIME!

Matthew 14:31  And immediately Jesus stretched forth [his] hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou  doubt ?  32  And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.  33  Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.  34  And when they were gone over, they came into the land of Gennesaret. 35  And when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into all that country round about, and brought unto him all that were diseased;  36  And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole. [The hem of Christ’s garment, called the Talliet, Vesture, Covering, Small tent, or Prayer Shawl which has the fringes in the bottom, called the Wings, the Tzitzit, and it has all of the names of God woven in the fingers, at all four corners.]

When we remove our eyes and our confidence, faith and our trust from the Lord our God we will fall every time and by the grace of God, He is always there reaching out His hand for us to take a hold of it again.

Matthew 21:21  Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and  doubt  not, ye shall not only do this [which is done] to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.  22  And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.  23  And when he was come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came unto him as he was teaching, and said, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority.

CHRIST GAVE US AUTHORITY BECAUSE HE AROSE

FROM THE DEAD AND GAVE US THE QUALIFICATIONS

FOR US TO USE IT!

Luke 9:1  Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and  authority  over all devils, and to cure diseases.  2  And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.  3  And he said unto them, Take nothing for [your] journey, neither staves, nor scrip, neither bread, neither money; neither have two coats apiece.

THE POWER OF JESUS CHRIST WAS NOT GIVEN ONLY, TO THE 12 APOSTLES, BUT ALSO TO ALL OF THOSE THAT HAVE BEEN REDEEMED BY THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB OF GOD,

NOTICE, IN THIS CASE “THE SEVENTY ALSO”!

Luke 10:17  And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.  18  And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.  19  Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.  20  Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

THEREFORE, I SAY TO ALL BELIEVERS IN JESUS CHRIST!

PLACE AND KEEP YOUR FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST!

Do NOT allow the things of the world to distract you from believing. Whatever you do, never forget this! “NEVER,” be sidetracked by things, keep your mind on Jesus Christ, believe Him, trust Him and know that you have already received the good things from God!

When you prayed and the Lord did NOT GIVE YOU SOMETHING THAT YOU REQUESTED, it was because the Lord will NOT GIVE YOU SOMETHING THAT WAS BAD FOR YOU. What the Lord Gives you is, that which is good, NOT THAT WHICH IS BAD! The bad gifts do not come from God our Heavenly Father! You might think that it is good, but God KNOWS that which is good and is not good!

Psalms 84:11  For the LORD God [is] a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good [thing] will he  withhold  from them that walk uprightly.  12  O LORD of hosts, blessed [is] the man that trusteth in thee.

Proverbs 3:27  Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do [it]. {them...: Heb. the owners thereof}

James 4:17  Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth [it] not, to him it is sin.

WE ARE TO GO AND SET THE CAPTIVES FREE AND TO

PREACH THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST

Matthew 22:9  Go   ye  therefore into the highways, and as many as  ye  shall find, bid to the marriage.  10  So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.  11  And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:  12  And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.  13  Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast [him] into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.  14  For many are called, but few [are] chosen.

Matthew 28:19  Go   ye  therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: {teach...: or, make disciples, or, Christians of all nations}  20  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.

Mark 1:1  The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God;  2  As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.  3  The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare  ye  the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

Mark 16:15  And he said unto them,  Go   ye  into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.  16  He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.  17  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;  18  They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.  19  So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.  20  And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with [them], and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

Luke 13:32  And he said unto them,  Go   ye , and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third [day] I shall be perfected.

John 14:12  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that
I do shall he do also; and greater [works] than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.  13  And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14  If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do [it].  15  If ye love me, keep my commandments.  16  And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;  17  [Even] the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.  18  I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

THE CONDITIONS OF THE LORD MUST BE MET

Keeping the Commandments of the Lord Jesus Christ and keeping the commandments of our Heavenly Father, such as:

Deuteronomy 6:5  And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with  all   thine   heart , and with  all  thy soul, and with  all  thy might.  6  And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in  thine   heart :  7  And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in  thine  house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. {teach: Heb. whet, or, sharpen}  8  And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon  thine  hand, and they shall be as frontlets between  thine  eyes.  9  And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.

Deuteronomy 30:10  If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, [and] if thou turn unto the LORD thy God with  all thine   heart , and with  all  thy soul.  11  For this commandment which I command thee this day, it [is] not hidden from thee, neither [is] it far off.  12  It [is] not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?  13  Neither [is] it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?

14  But the word [is] very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy  heart , that thou mayest do it.  15  See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;  16  In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.  17  But if  thine   heart  turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them;  18  I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, [and that] ye shall not prolong [your] days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it.  19  I CALL HEAVEN AND EARTH TO RECORD THIS DAY AGAINST YOU, [THAT] I HAVE SET BEFORE YOU LIFE AND DEATH, BLESSING AND CURSING: THEREFORE CHOOSE LIFE, THAT BOTH THOU AND THY SEED MAY LIVE:  20  That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, [and] that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he [is] thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

AND IF YOU HAVE REPENTED OF YOUR SINS AND CONFESSED JESUS CHRIST, THE SON OF GOD AS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOUR ACCORDING TO

Romans 10:9  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth  the  Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from  the  dead, thou shalt be saved.  10  For with  the  heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with  the  mouth confession is made unto salvation.  11  For  the  scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.  12  For there is no difference between  the  Jew and  the  Greek: for  the  same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.  13  For whosoever shall call upon  the  name of  the Lord shall be saved.

IF YOU HAVE INVITED THE LORD JESUS CHRIST

TO COME INTO YOUR HEART

And to forgive you of your sins and trespasses, and you meant it in all seriousness, then the next thing that you should do is to obey the commandment of the Lord according to Matthew 28:19 and be baptized by submersion in water for the remission of your sins. Water baptism is an OUTWARD SIGN TO ALL OF AN INWARD CLEANSING, Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: {teach...: or, make disciples, or, Christians of all nations}  20  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.

THEN YOU TOO CAN SAY

1st John 4:4  Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because  greater   is   he  that  is  in you, than  he  that  is  in the world.  5  They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.  6  We are of Godhe  that knoweth God heareth us;  he that  is  not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.  7  Beloved, let us love one another: for love  is  of God; and every one that loveth  is  born of God, and knoweth God. { is  born: or, has been born}  8  He  that loveth not knoweth not God; for God  is  love.

Get your mind off your problems and troubles and get it on the Lord Jesus Christ, then you too can rebuke the winds and the waves and command them to be still in the name of Jesus Christ, because you then have the AUTHORITY OF JESUS CHRIST TO DO SO (in the power of His name)! You have no need to be concerned about sickness or disease coming nigh your dwelling, if you have given the Lord your TITHES AND YOUR FIRST FRUITS (offerings) according to…

Malachi 3:8  Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.  9  Ye [are] cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, [even] this whole nation.  10  Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that [there shall] not [be room] enough [to receive it]. {pour…: Heb. Empty out}  11  And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and  he  shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts. {destroy: Heb. Corrupt.}

Psalms 91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. {abide: Heb. Lodge}  2  I will say of the LORD, [He is] my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.  3  Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, [and] from the noisome pestilence.  4  He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth [shall be thy] shield and buckler.  5  Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; [nor] for the arrow [that] flieth by day;  6  [Nor] for the pestilence [that] walketh in darkness; [nor] for the destruction [that] wasteth at noonday.  7  A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; [but] it shall not come nigh thee.  8  Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

9  Because thou hast made the LORD, [which is] my refuge, [even] the most High, thy habitation;  10  There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.  11  For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.  12  They shall bear thee up in [their] hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.  13  Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. {adder: or, asp}  14  Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. 15  He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I [will be] with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him . 16  With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation. {long…: Heb. Length of days}

John 14:10  Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.  11  Believe me that I [am] in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.  12  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater [works] than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.  13  And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.  14  If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do [it].

WE THE BORN AGAIN UNTO THE LORD JESUS CHRIST

WE HAVE THE AUTHORITY OF CHRIST

TO COMMAND IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST

AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF ALMIGHTY GOD

Because of the blood that Jesus Christ shed for us, whereby, making us joint heirs with Christ. We therefore cry Abba Father, ever desiring to be obedient unto the Lord. The Lord our God is more then willing to pour out His good gifts upon His redeemed. John 14:20  At that day ye shall know that I [am] in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.  21  He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

THE REASON, JESUS THE SON OF ALMIGHTY GOD AND APOSTLE PETER

COULD WALK ON WATER WAS BECAUSE OF THEIR FAITH IN GOD,

KNOWING AND HAVING CONFIDENCE, TRUST AND ASSURANCE

HAVING ALL POWER GIVEN OF THE HEAVENLY FATHER.

They were NOT afraid to speak the “WORD OF GOD” and act upon it!

“God’s Word” is good enough to live by, it is also good enough to die by!

Philippians 1:21  For to me to live [is] Christ, and to die [is] gain!

1st John 4:4  Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because  greater   is   he  that  is in you, than  he  that  is  in the world.  5  They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.  6  We are of God:  he  that knoweth God heareth us;  he  that  is  not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

Hebrew 11:6 But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a  rewarder   of   them  that diligently seek him.

WHAT DO YOU DARE TO ASK AND BELIEVE GOD FOR?

DO YOU BELIEVE GOD WILL DO IT OR GIVE IT TO YOU?

“ASK HIM!” Then Trust Him for it!

1st John 5:14-15
