SIGNS AND SYMBOLS - PART I

Some of the answers are;

It depends on what the symbol(s) represent, stand for, or the meanings of the symbols, (signs). Sometimes the sign or symbol will and does represent the showing of an advertisement that attracts attention, (these are the most popular signs). A sign reveals something about something. A sign can be a brochure, letter, parchment and even reading material such as a book, or the cover, or the binding on a book.

To explain more about signs, they can and do represent something, even stand for things unknown to others, unless that particular sign or symbol had been explained of what it represents. Otherwise, that sign has NO value, power or authority of its own. Therefore, what the sign or symbol expresses, reveals, stands for or represents, are too many to name. However, symbols and signs can vary, from flags which represent various countries, to advertisements on a ball cap or t-shirt, including tattoos on a human body.

Also, any symbols such as, what is worn around the neck, wrist (under a guise at times) as trinkets, definitely meaning what it shows, reveals to the person wearing the symbol of the symbols representation. Sometimes, a symbol means or represents more or other then, what is revealed outwardly to the (innocent) viewer!

Let’s go into a little more detail; we will use an example such as a wedding band, a ring around the finger which normally represents whether a person is or has been married or has exchanged marriage vows. How about rings, representing Schools or fraternities such as the Scottish or the York Right, Masonic Lodge, Elks Lodge, Odd Fellows, Lions, Graduation rings, University or College rings. Then there are rings, necklaces and bracelets representing all walks of life and or death! Each is a symbol or a sign, representing something!

When we go into even more detail, we begin to realize and understand some of the hidden meanings of what that particular symbol or what a sign, symbolizes.

I spoke with a man on the sidewalk, which had tattoos covering a large portion of his body. Some of the tattoos were pictures of the human skull and crossbones representing poison or death. All of the tattoos were pictures representing evil, according to him. He told me that he had spent over three thousand dollars for those tattoos and to get them put in his body. I asked him why?  He told me that they were part of him and that was what he was all about!

He further told me that his life was evil and that he had grown up being evil and had been treated evil by his parents, but yet he was very friendly with me and towards me. The man had a very good personality. I told the man that he wasn’t really evil, because he really had a good heart. He just wanted others to believe that he was evil so they would be afraid of him and not hurt him anymore! The man was looking for friends and wanted friends.

A truly evil person, (being evil inside having an evil heart or soul) would NOT want to help anyone or be concerned for or about anyone’s welfare, or for their good. This man had a good heart! I will continue to pray for this man’s soul!

The man’s nice smile, good, friendly attitude and personality, was a GOOD SIGN. To me, his outward expressions (signs) showed, that his soul could be spared if the man would repent of his sins and confess Jesus Christ (Yeshua The Messiah) as his Lord and Saviour, if he would make that decision and confession before it is too late. However, choosing or not choosing Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour, was the man’s own, free choice!

We see more of the signs of the times in these last days!

Matthew 15:8

This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.

Mark 7:6

He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.

[some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils ...] The first New Testament prophecy in 1 Timothy (1 Timothy 4:1-5, fulfilled and still being fulfilled).  Next, 1 Timothy 6:14.

Seven Things Incited by the Mystery of Iniquity

1.Departing from the faith (1 Timothy 4:1).  Greek: aphistemi (GSN-868), to put away; remove; separate; to revolt from.  Translated "depart from" (1 Timothy 4:1; Luke 2:37; Luke 4:13; Luke 13:27; Acts 12:10; Acts 15:38; Acts 19:9; Acts 22:29; 2 Corinthians 12:8; 2 Timothy 2:19; Hebrews 3:12); "refrain from" (Acts 5:38); "fall away" (Luke 8:13); and "withdraw" (1 Timothy 6:5).  It is possible to depart from the faith and apostasize if such passages are true.  No man can depart from something that he is not in or does not have.  All men do not have faith (2 Thessalonians 3:2). Only men of that class would find it impossible to depart from faith for they have no faith to depart from.  Men are warned to take heed, lest their hearts become evil and unbelieving and cause them to depart from God (Hebrews 3:12).

2.Giving heed to seducing spirits (1 Timothy 4:1).  Greek: planos (GSN-4108), leading astray.  Translated "seducing" (1 Timothy 4:1) and "deceiver" (Matthew 27:63; 2 Corinthians 6:8; 2 John 1:7).  These are deceiving demons that seduce men.  To seduce means to lead astray; draw into evil; especially to entice to surrender chastity.  Demons are charged with carrying out the program of enticement to forfeit virtue or surrender chastity.  This is the same as forbidding to marry (point 6, below).

3.Giving heed to doctrines of devils (1 Timothy 4:1).  To urge departure from the faith is the first work of demons.  This results in departure from holy living, and acceptance of doctrines that will damn the soulMen who pretend inspiration and revelation and false teachers of all kinds are the agents of demons (2 Corinthians 11:14-15).  every religion THAT DENIES the reality of God; Christ; the Holy Spirit; the atonement; the death and the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ; sin; sickness; Satan; demons; hell; heaven; and the other fundamental doctrines of Scripture are as much of Satan and demons as the Bible and Christianity are of God.

4.Speaking lies in hypocrisy (1 Timothy 4:2).  Greek: pseudologos (GSN-5573), speakers of lies in pretended revelations; putting on an act of self-denial and mortification of the flesh in order to prove their false doctrines to be truth.

5.Having the conscience seared with a hot iron (1 Timothy 4:2).  Greek: kauteriazo (GSN-2743), to sear with a red hot iron; to brand; to be seared in conscience.  Only here.  It means to make callous, withered, hardened, and insensible to right and wrong.  It was customary in ancient times to mark criminals with a hot iron so that (according to the heathen) the infernal judges would know their vices and appoint them punishment according to their sins.

6.Forbidding to marry (1 Timothy 4:3).  To forbid means to prohibit, hinder, oppose, or operate against.  Seducing spirits influence people to hinder and operate against wedlock by enticing them to meet the demands of the sex drive apart from the sanctity of marriage.  To heed (as in "giving heed to seducing spirits," 1 Timothy 4:1) means to pay attention to and act under the leadership and control of.  Hence, those who satisfy their sex needs through perversions—any of the ways contrary to what is approved by Scripture—are under the control, more or less, of demons (Romans 1:21-28; Leviticus 20:13; Joel 3:3).  This also applies to religions that discourage or forbid marriage to anyone among laymen or clergy.  Marriage is honorable to all and the bed undefiled (Hebrews 13:4; 1 Corinthians 7).

FORBIDDING TO MARRY IS NOT REFERRING TO THE LAWS OF THE STATE OR COUNTY (as being married according to the law is a marriage “license”), BUT INSTEAD, IS REFERRING TO THE LAWS OF GOD.

Further explanation pertaining to marriage; This (marriage) does mean the Holy wedding or Holy marriage vows (oaths unto one another and unto Almighty God) are to be exchanged between the male and female that are presently being married, under the leadership, guidance or instruction of a Justice of the Peace, Captain of a ship, or a duly Ordained Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

7.Commanding to abstain from meats (1 Timothy 4:3).  Among the heathen and even some of the so-called Christians, certain meats and food are forbidden in utter disregard of 1 Timothy 4:3-4.  Such unscriptural commanding under the new covenant is prompted by demons arrayed against the gospel and the liberty it provides regarding food (Genesis 9:1-7; Romans 14:1-6).

2 Peter 3:3

Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

2 Timothy 3:2-5

For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, [3] Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, [4] Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; [5] Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

20.Denying the power of godliness (2 Timothy 3:5). Destitute of godliness, having no faith that one can be godly in this life. From such turn away

21.Use their show of piety to gain entrance into homes to deceive (2 Timothy 3:6)

22.Capture for their own pleasure silly (foolish) women whom they deceive (2 Timothy 3:6)

Deut. 8:15  Who led thee through that great and terrible wilderness, wherein were fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where there was no water; who brought thee forth water out of the rock of flint; [16] Who fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy fathers knew not, that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, to do thee good at thy latter end; [17] And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth. [18] But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day. [19] And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the Lord thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish. [20] As the nations which the Lord destroyest before your face, so shall ye perish; because ye would not be obedient unto the voice of the Lord your God.

Deut. 18:9-12

When thou art come into the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. [10] There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, [11] Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. [12] For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee.

Leviticus 18:22

Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

Leviticus 20:13

If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

Deut. 7:25

The graven images of their gods shall ye burn with fire: thou shalt not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto thee, lest thou be snared therein: for it is an abomination to the Lord thy God. [26] Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house, lest thou be a cursed thing like it: but thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing.

Deut. 12:31

Thou shalt not do so unto the Lord thy God: for every abomination to the Lord, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods.

Deut. 18:12

For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee.

Luke 12:29 And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. Let seeking of necessities be secondary.  Spend first energies in seeking God and His righteousness and these things will be added (Luke 12:31; Matthew 6:33).

[doubtful] Greek: meteorizo (GSN-3349), to raise in mid-air, suspend, fluctuate, be anxious, or be carried about as meteors moved about with the currents, tossed up and down between hope and fear.  The rebuke concerns the heathen who superstitiously seek guidance by meteors, planets, signs of the zodiac and all the magic and witchcraft and traffic with demons in the name of astrology, etc., which are condemned by Scripture.

Twelve Forbidden Practices and
Molech

1.Enchantments—practice of magical arts (Exodus 7:11,22; Exodus 8:7,18; Leviticus 19:26; Deut. 18:10; 2 Chronicles 33:6; 2 Kings 17:17; 2 Kings 21:6; Isaiah 47:9,12; Jeremiah 27:9; Daniel 1:20)

Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I [am] the LORD.

[cuttings of the flesh]
Many peoples were very violent both in the mourning and worship of idols, tearing the hair, scratching and cutting the flesh (Deut. 14:1; Jeremiah 48:37).

When someone that is under the influence (control) of the devil, (Satan) and the person begins to consider (thinks about) repenting of their sins and asking Jesus Christ to come into their heart. The demons begin to scream in the persons mind, (tormenting the person). Then that person begins to cut themselves to appease the demons.  When someone has been convinced of the devil that they have an incurable disease such as cancer or one of the like diseases having a lot of pain. The person will cut themselves in order to appease the demons (evil seducing spirits, familiar spirits).

Luke 8:26-39

And they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is over against Galilee. [27] And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs. [28] When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not. [29] (For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters; and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness.) [30] And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him. [31] And they besought him that he would not command them to go out into the deep. [32] And there was there an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they besought him that he would suffer them to enter into them. And he suffered them. [33] Then went the devils out of the man, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were choked. [34] When they that fed them saw what was done, they fled, and went and told it in the city and in the country. [35] Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid. [36] They also which saw it told them by what means he that was possessed of the devils was healed.  [37] Then the whole multitude of the country of the Gadarenes round about besought him to depart from them; for they were taken with great fear: and he went up into the ship, and returned back again. [38] Now the man out of whom the devils were departed besought him that he might be with him: but Jesus sent him away, saying, [39] Return to thine own house, and shew how great things God hath done unto thee. And he went his way, and published throughout the whole city how great things Jesus had done unto him.

Revelations 13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Revelations 14:9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive [his] mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 14:10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 14:11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

Revelations 15:2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, [and] over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.

THE DAY IS AT HAND

Romans 13:12

The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

[let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light] Eight commands for Christians:

1.   Cast off the works of darkness (Romans 13:12).

2.   Put on the armor of light (Romans 13:12).

3.   Walk decently and well behaved (Romans 13:13).

4.   Stop revelling and drinking (Romans 13:13).

5.   Quit all immoral living (Romans 13:13).

6.   Refrain from quarreling, contention, and jealousies (Romans 13:13).

7.   Clothe selves with the character of Jesus Christ (Romans 13:14).

8.   Make no provision for lust (Romans 13:14).

Hebrews 10:25

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Mark 9:44-46

Where their worm dieth not, and THE FIRE IS NOT QUENCHED. [45] And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: [46] Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

Mark 9:48

Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

Mark 9:44

[worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched] Referring to the real consciousness and life of the individual who goes to hell.  The word "worm" is used of man several times (Job 25:6; Psalm 22:6; Isaiah 41:14; Isaiah 66:24).  It has to do with the remorse of the conscience that each man will have over his failure to do what was necessary to escape hell.  It is the living, conscious, never-dying part of the human being that he will feel eternal torments of fire in eternal hell (Matthew 8:12; Matthew 13:42,50; Matthew 22:13; Matthew 24:51; Matthew 25:30,46; Rev. 14:9-11; Rev. 20:10-15; Rev. 21:8; Isaiah 66:24).  It is that part that feels and knows, the inner man that dwells in the resurrected body.  Both body and soul will be cast into hell at the judgment (Rev. 20:11-15; Matthew 10:28)

UPON YOUR DEATH!

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR YOU TO KNOW FOR A FACT, THAT HELL IS REAL AND HOT?

Matthew 10:28

And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Matthew 13:42

And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Matthew 13:50

And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Matthew 22:13

Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Matthew 24:51

And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Matthew 25:30

And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Matthew 25:46

And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Revelations 14:9-11

And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, [10] The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: [11] And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

Revelations 20:10

And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. [11] And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. [12] And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. [13] And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. [14] And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. [15] And WHOSOEVER WAS NOT FOUND WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF LIFE WAS CAST INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE.

Revelations 21:8

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

ROMANS 14:11 FOR IT IS WRITTEN, AS I LIVE, SAITH THE LORD, EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW TO ME, AND EVERY TONGUE SHALL CONFESS TO GOD.

It is simply a matter of time!

Isaiah 45:23

I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

Philippians 2:10

    That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

Isaiah 45:23

[I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return ...] The 57th prophecy in Isaiah (Isaiah 45:23-25, unfulfilled).  Next,  Isaiah 46:1.  Five predictions—unfulfilled:

1.   Every knee will bow to God.

2.   Every tongue will confess to God.

3.   God will be recognized as the source of righteousness and strength (Isaiah 45:24).

4.   All that have opposed Him and His program will be ashamed.

5.   The whole house of Israel will be justified and glory in Jehovah (Isaiah 45:25).

[That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear] Quoted in Romans 14:11; Phil. 2:10.  This is a vow of God; it has already gone out of His mouth, so it cannot be altered in the least.

Rev. 22:6-21 (KJV)

And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done. [7] Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book. [8] And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things. [9] Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God. [10] And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. [11] He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. [12] And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. [13] I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. [14] Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. [15] For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. [16] I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. [17] And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, COME. AND LET HIM THAT IS ATHIRST COME. AND WHOSOEVER WILL, LET HIM TAKE THE WATER OF LIFE FREELY. [18] For I TESTIFY UNTO EVERY MAN THAT HEARETH THE WORDS OF THE PROPHECY OF THIS BOOK, IF ANY MAN SHALL ADD UNTO THESE THINGS, GOD SHALL ADD UNTO HIM THE PLAGUES THAT ARE WRITTEN IN THIS BOOK: [19] AND IF ANY MAN SHALL TAKE AWAY FROM THE WORDS OF THE BOOK OF THIS PROPHECY, GOD SHALL TAKE AWAY HIS PART OUT OF THE BOOK OF LIFE, AND OUT OF THE HOLY CITY, AND FROM THE THINGS WHICH ARE WRITTEN IN THIS BOOK.

[20] He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.    [21] The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

ARE YOU PREPARED TO MEET GOD?

If you are not, then REPENT Acts 2:37

Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? [38] Then Peter said unto them, REPENT, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Matthew 28:19

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

PRAYER OF REPENTANCE AND SALVATION!

Say this prayer out loud, (audibly) or write it on paper meaning it in your heart!

Heavenly Father I come to you in the name of Jesus Christ, I humbly ask that you forgive me of my sins and of all my transgressions. I ask that you come into my heart, Jesus.  I believe that you died on the cross and paid the supreme sacrifice for my sins with your blood. I also believe that you are alive because you arose from the dead and became victorious over death hell and the grave. Thank you Jesus, for forgiving me and coming into my heart and for being at the Heavenly Fathers right side listening to and answering my prayers. Amen amen!

Romans 10:8-13

But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; [9] That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. [10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. [11] For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. [12] For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. [13] For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
